ROSEMARIE GAY (BUONICONTI)
1940 - 2023
RoseMarie Gay (Buoniconti), 83, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2023, at BayState Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Rudolph Gay for 40 years. RoseMarie was born on September 7, 1940, to the late Joseph Buoniconti and Yolanda (Scatolini).
She worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years before retiring in 2001.
RoseMarie loved and cherished her family. She enjoyed going to the casino and she loved to shop.
A woman dedicated to her faith, she was a communicant of St. John's Evangelist Church in Agawam.
RoseMarie is predeceased by her sister Laurie Scanlon. She is survived by her loving husband Rudolph Gay, her children Cheryl & Neil Sleeper, Richard & Teri Stolpinski, Tammy Sarlan, David & Diane Wolf, 17 grandchildren, brothers Joseph Buoniconti, Louis Buoniconti, Patrick Buoniconti & Betty, Gulio Buoniconti & Patty, many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Calling hours will be held at La Rosa Funeral Home,254 Main Street, Holyoke on Tues., Jan. 2, from 4-7pm. Her funeral will begin on Wed., Jan. 3, at 8:30AM from La Rosa Funeral Home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Johns the Evangelist Church, Agawam. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Agawam Center Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
