ROBERT L'ECUYER Obituary

In Loving Memory Of

ROBERT A. L'ECUYER

1942 - 2022

Robert A. L’Ecuyer of Holyoke, MA entered eternal life on Saturday, December 3, 2022, after a courageous and hard, fought battle with cancer. He was born to his parents the late Richard L’Ecuyer and Agnes (Lefebvre)  L’Ecuyer on Wednesday, July 1, 1942 in Holyoke, MA. Bob was a long-time resident of South Hadley, he was educated in the South Hadley public schools and graduated from South Hadley High where he was a valuable and proud member of their basketball team. Robert even went on to play basketball in a simi pro-league. For most of his career Bob worked in the roofing and carpentry industry and later worked for the U.S. Postal Bulk Mail Center in Springfield, MA. Anyone who knew Bob will remember him as a loving, caring, hardworking man and for his hospitality. He was always ready to offer a helping hand,  a ride and always available to assist anyone when needed. Bob’s brother says “Bob was the best brother and friend anyone could ask for”. In his spare time he loved listening to country music, and could name most of the artist, he also enjoyed, playing pool with friends, and spending time outdoors. He cherished everything nature had to offer, but his passion was spending time with his family and many friends. Many people commented on how Robert was a gentleman, always treated everyone with courtesy and respect; when entering a room, he would stand and greet you with a good firm handshake and made you feel welcome.   Bob was predeceased by his brother Richard L’Ecuyer in North Carolina. He is survived by and will proudly and fondly be remembered by his brother Roland L’Ecuyer of Holyoke, MA, his sister Cecile Morris of Tennessee, many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends will miss him immensely. Robert was a good Christian, he believed God, his parents and brother will be there waiting for him. Let’s say a prayer that they will be reunited and that all of us have a little peace here on earth. His funeral will begin on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10AM from La Rosa Funeral Home, 254 Main Street, Holyoke, MA and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12PM in St. Patrick’s Church, South Hadley.
