GILBERTO DE JESUS PEREZ

1937-2025

Gilberto DeJesus Perez left us unexpectefly at the age of 87 on January 3rd, 2025. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He lived in Buffalo New York where he worked for the rairoad along his father and his older brother. Eventually he moved to Massachusetts and settled in Holyoke.

He worked as a school bus driver for the for 23 years. He is survived by his wife Clara of  33  years as well as his daughters Elizabeth DeJesus Jimenez, Maritza DeJesus of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Arleen DeJesus of Palm Bay, Florida, and sons Gilberto (Chico Jimenez) and his wife Noemí, Ivan DeJesus and his wife Carmen , Kenneth Jimenez and his wife Migdalia,  Lloyd  DeJesus and his wife Linda; stepchildren Lilly, Waleska, Oswald, and Angel. He also leaves his brothers José Ángel, Alberto. Benjamin, Ezequiel, Julio, Joseph, Carlos, Samuel and Daniel and four sisters, Theresa, Olga, Nelida, and Jacinta. In addition he leaves

many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Petra and brothers Orlando  and José Luis, daughter Nilza Iris and grandson Adam, grandson Manny and stepdaughter Christine.

You will live in our hearts through the shining memories that sneak through everytime your favorite team wins a game, a championship or a World Series.
