CARLOS ORTIZ Obituary

Carlos Ortiz Sr. has returned home to be with his beloved father, God. He was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many through his roles as an incredible father, a loving son, a caring brother, an uncle, and, above all, a loyal friend. Carlos’s passion for playing dominos was well-known among his family and friends, and he cherished everything related to cars, football, and the time spent with his loved ones. Those who had the privilege of knowing him were often greeted by his contagious smile and infectious sense of humor, which brought joy and laughter to every gathering.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on March 16, 1976, Carlos was the son of José Luis and Bienvenida Ortiz, and through his life, he demonstrated the values instilled by his parents. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him. He is survived by his mother, Bienvenida, and her husband, Miguel, along with his children: Lilliam, Natalie, Naya, and Carlos Jr., each of whom carry on his spirit through their own lives and their partners JB, Wayne, and Richard. Carlos was also a proud grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren, who will remember him fondly.

His siblings, including his brother José Ortiz and his wife Maria, along with their six children, and his brother Sammy with his two children, will also miss him dearly. Carlos held a firm belief in Almighty God, which provided him with comfort throughout his life. For him, this moment is not a farewell but rather a heartfelt "see you later" in his Father's house. As emphasized in John 14:2-3 , "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." This belief underscores the hope and love that he embraced during his time on earth, instilling a lasting assurance in those he left behind. His family shall carry him in their hearts and live for him, ensuring that his spirit remains a guiding light in their lives.
