1936 - 2021

Aida M Torres Madera, 84, of Springfield, MA passed away at home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 surrounded by her daughters and favorite nephew, Jose Luis. On March 17, 1936 she was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico. Aida met and married the love of her life the late Francisco Rodriguez Vazquez also from Guayama.  Aida was well known by people of all walks of life.  She was a mother figure to many and a good friend to others.  Her house was always open to anybody in need of affection, a talk, a friend or simple cup of coffee.  Her strong Catholic faith sustain her during her final days.   Aida is proceeded in death by her father Dionisio Torres Santiago, mother Francisca Madera Morales, two sisters Hipolita, Cecilia and her brother Dionisio Jr.,   three sons Carlos Ariel and new born twins Raul and Vidal.  She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn, Migdalia, Celines, nephew Jose Luis Ramos, her adored grandchildren, granddaughters Gisselle Maria and Crystal Genesis and grandson Nelson Jr. as well as great grandsons Nelson III and Hayden and her siblings, Ernestina "Tinin", Ismael, Puro, and Nestor.
