Weeks later, she received the life saving donation of a kidney from her then, 18 year old brother, Alexis Joel Alicea-Soto… In 2012, her battle with kidney failure took its course once again and her body rejecting the transplant. Soon, Soly was put on the kidney donor list and had to do dialysis four times a week, she surpassed many surgeries, blood transfusions, gout etc. Her family and husband supported her through it all. Soly was a devoted and dedicated Christian. She enjoyed spending time with her family and husband, going to church and participating in church activities. She loved her mother’s cooking, long car rides, playing board and card games as well.
