ERNESTO BOSQUES MEDINA
1932-2019

Mr. Ernesto Bosques-Medina, was born in Moca, Puerto Rico on August 12, 1932 to the late Francisco Bosques and Candida Medina. In July of 1953, at the age of 21, he joined the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. In May of 1955, he was honorably discharged. He resided in Brooklyn, New York and owned a grocery store as well as several rental homes. Later on in the years, he sold his businesses and moved back to Puerto Rico and had his house built. He worked for the United States Reserve Center at the Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in Ceiba, Puerto Rico.

Ernesto accepted Jesus Christ into his life and served as a minister following his graduation from Oficinas Nacionales Iglesia de Dios. For over 25 years, he ran and owned his own church- Iglesia de Dios Mission Board. Later on in the years, due to his declining health, he moved to Ludlow, MA to be near his family and receive medical care. Ernesto transitioned from his earthly life in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 while surrounded by his family.

Ernesto Bosques-Medina was a caring and dedicated husband and family man. He loved raising all of his animals on his farm- cows, horse, geese, chickens and especially his pet dogs and cats. Ernesto loved picking and eating fresh fruit off his trees on the farm and milking his cow so he could have fresh milk in the mornings for breakfast. He loved his wife dearly and especially enjoyed listening to her sing and play the guitar. Ernesto also loved his wife’s cooking and enjoyed the taste of pan sobao and short bread cookies. He loved to laugh and lay in his hammock in his back yard. Lastly, his faith and the word of God was very important to him.

Ernesto was predeceased by his parents Candida and Francisco, 5 brothers Julio, Antonio, Alejandro, Francisco and John, 1 sister Aurora (Margie) and grandson Edgar J. Colon.
