BRUCE L. GARCIA

1974 - 2019

Bruce L. Garcia passed away on July 2, 2019 surrounded by his family at the age of 44. He fought until the Lord came to take him home. Bruce was born in Northampton, MA on August 23, 1974. He was the son of Raul Garcia and Emery (Cortez) Davila. For many years Bruce drove for the PVTA bus company and loved every minute of it. He was a loving and selfless son, husband, father and friend. To know Bruce was to know a gregarious, caring person who always had advice to give. He enjoyed the outdoors, but his passion was spending time with his family. His warm, amazing smile, laugh, and positive personality will never be forgotten. Bruce is survived by his wife Elizabeth C. (Millayes) Garcia, four children, Brandon, Xavier, Bruce Gabriel and Aleigha Lucy and his parents Raul Garcia and Emery (Cortez) Davila, two brothers Raul Garcia and Mohammad Garcia. He also leaves aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, his extended family and many dear friends to cherish his memory. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Christian Pentecostal Church, 96 Cabot St., Holyoke, MA. The funeral service will begin on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 @ 10:00AM from the Christian Pentecostal Church and followed by the burial in Forestdale West Cemetery, Holyoke, MA.

Lilo my love as I sit here with my girls your nieces. I think of what has just occurred. I am still in disbelief my love. I always thought you would be here forever and ever. But god gained an amazing warrior angel. I will forever miss you and love you. The place you took in my heart will never be replaced. But I know one thing that you have taught me to fight and not give up. I will forever honor you for this and many more things. Like your smiles, your jokes, and just everything you do.
I love you 💜

A Good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. Still can’t believe you are gone. Feels like I was just talking to you not long ago. You was my friend, my co worker. Your charismatic smile captured many. You always gave me good advice. PVTA will definitely not be the same without you. When I see the P20 bus pass I always thought of you. You are now resting in gods arms. My deepest condolences go out to the Garcia family. You are gone but never forgotten Rest In Peace my brother Bruce.

Brother,

I was thrown back when I was told of your passing. God has bigger and better plans for you and you have been called into His kingdom. You were always the mature one of our group growing up and thank you a million times for letting me be part of your family. God bless your immediate family and may peace and comfort be with them through these times of transition. I know I have another angel in my corner. Until we meet again, Bruce. Belto, Ally and the rest of the Baez family.

The start of our friendship began 8 years ago. You have always been there for me, giving advice and looking out for me. Everyone always asked if I was your daughter and that was the start of Baby Bear and Papa Bear. You started that, remember. We had a true friendship that we talked all the time even outside of work. May you be up in heaven watching me follow the last words we spoke. Miss you dearly and love you always!!

Bruce better known as Lilo, it was a pleasure growing up with you at church. Always being the big brother and giving us advice and at the same time making us laugh. You had a great sense of humor and an honest heart. May you rest in peace, we'll be praying for your loved ones during this hard time.
